Is Divorce Navigation a form of therapy?
No. Although your Divorce Navigator is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), the services provided do not include psychotherapy sessions and/or mental health treatment.
Do you take insurance?
We do not. Divorce Navigation is a private pay service and is not affiliated or contracted with medical/health insurance companies. Since Divorce Navigation is not a psychotherapy service, we do not bill health insurance companies for behavioral health services.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discovery, along with PayPal, Venmo or Zelle for credit and bank payment processing.
What does Certified Divorce Specialist (CDS) mean?
A Certified Divorce Specialist has the knowledge and skills necessary to assist clients through the divorce process as a whole. A CDS has gone through specific training in this field and has successfully passed the course, leaving them fully equipped with valuable divorce-specific information and a customized communications skill set to work with and collaborate on low and high conflict divorce cases.
My spouse/partner is not being cooperative, can Divorce Navigation still help me?
Yes! Divorce Navigation is primarily designed to help an individual prepare for the divorce process and/or navigate their current divorce, and especially, when/if their spouse/partner is uncooperative.
I think my spouse/partner is a Narcissist, is Divorce Navigation still right for me?
Absolutely! As a licensed mental health professional, your Divorce Navigator understands the nature of high-conflict personalities and the propensity for post-separation legal abuse. Divorce Navigation will help to circumvent unnecessary drama. For example, Divorce Navigator will help clients create a Parallel Parenting Plan vs. traditional Co-Parenting Plan. Divorce Navigator will have your back!
I don't live in California, can I still sign up for Divorce Navigation?
Not at this time. We are currently offering our services to California residents only. Your Divorce Navigator will make suggestions for your divorce proposal plan(s) based upon CA state law.
Which telehealth platforms do you use to provide services?
We offer services through Doxy.me (HIPAA, GDPR, PHIPA/PIPEDA, & HITECH compliant), along with FaceTime and old-fashioned phone calls for client convenience.
